Privacy policy

Effective September 15, 2026. This policy covers cerebrospinalectomy.com and the software the brand uses to publish to its own social accounts. It is written to be read.

What this site collects

This site is static and hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics script of its own, and stores nothing about you when you read a page. Cloudflare, as the host, sees the ordinary request data any web server sees (your IP address, browser type, the pages you request) and handles it under Cloudflare's privacy policy. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of serving them; video embeds are served by YouTube, which applies its own privacy policy when you play one; the newsletter signup form is served by beehiiv.

The newsletter

If you subscribe to Grand Rounds, but funny, your email address is stored by our newsletter provider, beehiiv, and used only to send the newsletter. Every issue carries an unsubscribe link. We do not sell, rent or share subscriber addresses with sponsors or anyone else.

If you email cerebrospinalectomy@gmail.com, we keep the message for as long as it takes to respond and for our records of the conversation.

Google and YouTube

The brand's publishing tools use the YouTube Data API to upload the brand's own videos to the brand's own YouTube channel. That software accesses only the brand's own channel and never accesses, collects or stores any data from viewers, subscribers or other YouTube users. Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. YouTube's own terms and privacy policy apply to anything you do on YouTube: YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date at the top changes with it.
